Borrowed from former John Carroll University Head Coach, Chris Cooper, now at Binghamton. 

Space cones ten yards away from one another. If on lacrosse field, go endline to box line. 

1. Right hand throwback

2. Left hand throwback

3. Carry left handed, roll away throw right handed

4. Carry right handed, roll away throw left handed

5. Carry right handed, shovel pass low to high

6. Carry left handed, shovel pass low to high 

7. Carry right handed, look to feed upfield, face dodge defender to shovel pass 

8. Carry left handed, look to feed upfield, face dodge defender to shovel pass 

 

Sprint back to line after each pass. 3-4 players per group to maximize reps in practice. High tempo with communication. 

 

This past Sunday we added a ground ball to the end of this drill. Second player in line rolls out a ground ball half way between the cone and the player. Player #1 picks up the gb, sprints to the cone and rolls back throwing with opposite hand.
