The Peters Township twins are now off the board.
Clayton and Tanner Scott have committed to play Division 1 lacrosse at NJIT.
Q&A with the twins below:
Why I chose NJIT:
C: I choose NJIT because of the many opportunities it gives me. It is an amazing school for engineering and I will get a great education. Also, I will be playing Division 1 lacrosse at a new program and it will be amazing to be apart of something new. The campus is amazing and you can get on a train and be in New York City in 20 minutes. It's all around amazing.
T: I chose NJIT because it offers a great engineering program while also having Division 1 lacrosse. Also the campus and environment was very warming.
What was the best part of the recruiting process?
C: The best part about the recruiting process was visiting the school and meeting with the coaches. I never imagined having the chance to play Division 1 lacrosse and was truly blown away by the opportunity I was given.
T: The best part of the recruiting process was talking to all of the different coaches and meeting new people and getting compliments and tips about my lacrosse skills.
High School team outlook:
C: We set forward a goal the first day of winter ball to win a WPIAL championship and we worked very hard all year and truly grinded in the playoffs. I think the best part about our season was we found a good balance between having fun at practice, and being serious and working hard. Goals for next year are to do the same exact thing but better, I would love to knock out a great team in states and show them that Pittsburgh lacrosse is here to play.
T: Definitely to make it back to the WPIAL championship and make it deeper into the state playoffs. Also to have a fun and memorable senior year with my teammates.
C: Huge thanks to my parents for everything they do and always putting me and my brother first. Thank you to all the Peters Township lacrosse coaches for making me the player who I am and a huge shout out to Coach Perella and 412 lacrosse for making this summer awesome and getting me to where I am.
T: I want to say thanks to all my coaches and family for providing me with the ability and skills to grow as a lacrosse player and an adult. Thank you to my 412 Elite coaches.
